The sounds of waves lapping over a sandy shoreline, recorded with hydrophones buried in the sand. You can hear the sound of the sand particles receding with the waves. The main polyrhythmic music theme, based on a time signature of 7/8, fades in and builds to move into a section with chorus guitar reflecting the beauty and wonder of the oceans. The tempo then drops to the sound of waves and darker more ominous musical themes with arpeggiated synth lines, before building to the final theme with electric guitar and drums. The sound of waves recorded in a remote cove on South Harris in the Outer Hebrides completes the journey.

This extended version of Rain begins by combining a synth theme which can be heard at the end of 'Time' with location sounds recorded after a thunderstorm. A percussive rhythm created from 'time corrected' crickets recorded in France, is accompanied by rhythmic synth and percussion. The main groove then builds and a bass synth line fades in to be followed by the main melody of synth and glockenspiel. Floating arpeggiated synth runs then lead to a reprise of the ‘synth and glock’ melody before a solo bass line and piano take us into the final section with distorted electric guitar.
